Elementary Education

We believe a child’s potential is limited only by a lack of opportunity, low expectations, and lack of hope.

Joshua Christian Academy is here to help Des Moines urban youth reach their fullest potential through affordable Christian education.

The JCA Difference
  • Students who attend Joshua Christian Academy will be able to read at grade level at the end of their second year.

  • Students will receive a biblically-integrated academic curriculum, including learning full passages of Scripture in English, Spanish, and ASL

  • Our teachers are asked to sign a Statement of Faith and have a college degree. They are committed to walking side by side with each student to help them develop a personal relationship with Jesus, their classmates, and members of their community.

At JCA, our Elementary Program includes grade K-6. Elementary classrooms are available at JCA Main (K-7), JCA West (K-4), and also at JCA South (K-3) beginning in the Fall of 2022.

All students are asked to bring their lunch each day unless provided by a group of volunteers. Lunch announcements are posted in the school lobby each week as well as the parent portal.

Tuition

Tuition is set on a sliding scale based on family income.
